Winding down 2022, I am offering one last single from the Lo-Fi Archives vinyl EP that I released earlier in the year. “Cashless Society” was originally written in 2017 and, shockingly, is probably the only song of mine over five years old that I don’t absolutely cringe when listening to today… an epic rarity! Similar to my previous single “Let it Go”, “Cashless Society” was originally produced in mono while I was riding the whole lo-fi wave, and was released as such on Lo-Fi Archives. However this is a brand new stereo mix with a pro mastering job to polish it off.

I originally planned to make an edit of the stereo mix available for streaming platforms, but my distributor flagged the vocal sample. I unsuccessfully tried digging back thru the project file, my sample library and vinyl collection to trace the sample’s origin and get it cleared. So instead I replaced the vocal with a keyboard solo in a similar vibe. Nicknamed the “Legal Dub”, I am adding this in as a little bonus.

I appreciate all the support for the entire Lo-Fi Archives project. “Let it Go” has become my most streamed and purchased track of all time, BY FAR. Many more recent projects of mine will be seeing the light of day in mp3, streaming and vinyl next year!
