Following the footsteps of last year’s Lo-Fi Archives EP, I’m doing a second merch drop donning the Low-Pass Party medallion. This edition, titled “Mileage May Vary”, intertwines 3 new pieces of music plus a remix in a flat circular package designed to be played LOUD.

Opening things on the moody side is “Hard Times”, a soulful house affair released earlier in the year. It’s easily been one of my most streamed tracks this year and has found its way into mixes made by people I’ve never met before, which definitely can’t be a bad thing.

Following up is “Capable Hands”, a brisker piece taking balanced cues from house and UK garage. Coupled with weedy analog basslines and a swingin’ rhythm section, this one’s exclusive to only the vinyl and will not be available on MP3 or streaming platforms. Bummer.

We flip over to HeartWerk’s brand new remix of “Let it Go”. He’s no stranger to my back catalogue so I entrusted him to take a crack at my most streamed track of all time (at least for now). Made in a single session in a coffee shop on a Digitakt, HeartWerk expanded on the original’s keys while dialing the energy into techno territory.

“Half the Battle (part 1)” leaves things unresolved with a mysterious and abstract piece of outsider house. Made mostly with samples from records rotting in dark basements for decades, Half the Battle maintains ambiguity as piano loops swirl. Will be available with a part 2 later this year but only on streaming, no MP3.

And there you have it, a highlight reel of recent work, all made in 2022 or 23. There will be more of these to come if this sells well. Appreciate your support!
